Today I will share some diets for a beautiful,   healthy and glowing skin. We spend so much money on makeup and skincare products but we don’t understand that if we follow a proper diet, we won’t have to spend a fortune on this.  Healthy skin looks very attractive irrespective of gender or age. So let’s see what we can eat and how that will help.

Fish

Fatty fish, such as salmon, mackerel and herring, are excellent foods for healthy skin & a must food for your skincare diet. They are rich sources of omega-3 fatty acids, which is important for maintaining skin health and helping skin against damage from free radicals and inflammation.

Avocados

Avocados are a good source of vitamin C, E, K, and B-6, vitamin E is an important antioxidant that helps in protecting your skin from oxidative damage.  Vitamin C is also essential for healthy skin. Your skin needs this to create collagen, which is the main structural protein that keeps your skin strong and healthy. Vitamin B6 helps in maintaining skin and vitamin k helps in basic skin healing for example stretch marks, spider veins.

Sunflower seeds

They’re rich in vitamin E. This travels through your system neutralizing the damaging free radicals that can threaten the health of your cells. These can be a result of smoking, pollution, sun rays,  unhealthy food choices, and even excessive exercise. Just a quarter of a cup of sunflower seeds provides 90% of your daily vitamin E needs. Vitamin E is extremely anti-inflammatory thus helps in reducing the risk of inflammatory skin conditions like acne, eczema, and psoriasis. These seeds have a nutty flavor. So this can be a very tasty snack to munch on.

Sweet potato ( shakkarkandi )

Sweet potatoes help in skin rejuvenation and anti-aging. These are known for having high levels of beta-carotene, which is converted to an active form of vitamin A (retinol) once ingested. An increased intake of vitamin A may help to increase healthy skin cell production. Beta carotene in sweet potatoes helps combat rough, scaly winter skin and it also protects against UV damage. Make sure you eat this rather than applying it on skin 😁

Red Bell pepper

Just one red bell pepper contains more than 100% of your daily vitamin C needs. It also contains significant amounts of dietary fiber and vitamin B6. Moreover, it is rich in carotenoids that can help prevent wrinkles and increase blood circulation to your skin, helping it look more youthful. They are a little sweet in flavor and also have vitamin K, which is essential for healthy blood vessels that lie under the skin, plus vitamin B.

Tomato

This is the most common fruit found in every household. But little do we know that this small red thing is best for healthy skin. A little acidic in nature, tomatoes contain high contents of potassium and vitamin C and this can transform the dullest of skins to glow like a diamond. Tomatoes also have lycopene, which is an antioxidant that helps fight free radicals in the body and also acts as a natural sun protector.  Munching on a tomato salad will give you that glow.

Green leafy vegetables

Nothing can give you good skin like a bowl of fresh so this is highly recommended in your skincare diet, green leafy vegetables. Whether it is spinach, coriander, parsley, or broccoli, these leaves are full of antioxidants and various other essential nutrients and vitamins that help your skin retain its brightness and youth. And there are just so many things that you can do with these garden-fresh ingredients. You can make soups, salads, or sandwiches, and if you are a fan of traditional food then the good old ‘Sarson ka Saag’ or ‘Palak Paneer’ is just about as beneficial for your skin and tasty as well.  So dig in your teeth into some greens and see the difference yourself.

Green tea

Green tea is the detox that comes in our mind whenever we feel like detoxing.  This food (especially of the Matcha kind), being full of natural antioxidants, is rich in the phytonutrient known as epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) and is extremely efficient in protecting your skin from the harmful free radicals that are majorly responsible for skin problems such as blemishes, premature aging, and uneven spots. Since green tea also helps in reducing levels of dihydrotestosterone (DHT), the hormone responsible for your acne issues, it is also extremely efficient in keeping your skin clear and free from any blemishes.
